Koelnmesse and Corferias organize Alimentec, which celebrates 25 years of innovation in the Food and Beverage industr
Alimentec 2024, the professional trade show will celebrate its 12th edition in Bogota - Colombia, which marks the 25 years of this biennial event, organized by Koelnmesse and Corferias and powered by Anuga, the world's leading food trade show that takes place in Cologne, Germany. The event will be held at Corferias Venue from June 18 to 21 and will present the standout in products and services of the food & beverage industry for Colombia and the Latin American region.
Alimentec will be at 28,000 sqm. area, allowing the more than 500 exhibitors and 30,000 expected visitors to establish new business connections between decision makers and professionals from the food, restaurant, hotel, wholesale, and retail sectors. Thus, how to improve relationships between stakeholders and generate strategies within the framework of a market that is always growing.

Precisely, for this edition the new Franchise Sector is presented that seeks to connect entrepreneurs and visionaries with franchises and investment models. Exhibitors will be present in this space, such as: suppliers and servers from hotels, restaurants and cafes with high-quality equipments.

The participation of these countries marks an increase in foreign participation of 53% compared to the 2022 edition.
In this way, both international visitors and exhibitors will discover in Colombia a strategic meeting point to expand their reach in Latin America. Considering its geographical location, the country becomes a privileged logistics player so that companies can reduce their delivery times and have competitive costs within the sector.
Another benefit of the meeting is its location in Bogotá, which facilitates the expansion of contact networks because the city represents 45% of the industry's total sales in the country and is home to 39 of the main leading companies in the sector. In addition, the country is the third largest economy in Latin America, with 48.5 million active people and a growing middle class.
