Unmissable activities: exploring flavors and knowledge at Alimentec 2024
The Alimentec fair in its 25th year will allow its participants the opportunity to learn first-hand about the latest trends and innovations in the industry. In addition, they will enjoy an extensive academic agenda with more than 50 activities, including conferences, talks, culinary demonstrations and networking opportunities.
These events will be essential for professional visitors to the sector, as they will be able to keep them updated on the latest developments in food, beverages and related technologies. They will also be an excellent opportunity to establish business contacts, explore new business opportunities and learn from industry experts.
During the conferences and expert panels, industry leaders and researchers will share knowledge on trends, innovations and challenges in the food sector. In addition, culinary demonstrations will be held, where renowned chefs will perform live demonstrations, showing innovative culinary techniques, creative recipes and ways to use the products presented at the fair.

Tuesday June 18 - Food innovation summit
Highlighting among the fair's activities, on Tuesday, June 18, at 3:00 p.m. in the Corferias auditorium, Berny Silberwasser, from IRISH PUB, will present the conference "How to create a successful model in the world of craft beer ? In this space, the importance of craft beer will be highlighted, a leader in conquering a demanding market that seeks creativity, authenticity and passion behind each flavor.
Later, at 4:00 p.m., Fabian Carrillo, founder and CEO at Cluvi, will speak about "The technological future of the F&B sector in Latin America", highlighting the importance and potential of the region to expand its food industry globally.
Wednesday June 19 - Food innovation summit
On Wednesday, June 19, at 11:00 a.m. in the Corferias auditorium, Agustin Londoño Perez, leader of the Colombian operation for NotCo, will present the conference "Artificial intelligence in the food industry", exploring how artificial intelligence drives innovation in the food business.
Then, in the afternoon, at 3:00 p.m., Julia Londoño Bozzi, Gian Paolo Daguer and Mónica Santana León will give the talk "Colombian fruits; transdisciplinary development opportunities."
Thursday June 20 - Food innovation summit
The third day of Alimentec 2024 highlights the conference scheduled for 2:30 p.m., in which Juan Sebastián Echeverry, R&D director at Frisby, will share the Talk: "Sustainable innovation in Frisby's business model as a benchmark in the country". Continuing with the day, at 3:30 p.m., Andrea Castaño Avendaño, Chef who graduated from Gato Dumas, will have the conference "Food regains its value."
Friday June 21 - Food innovation summit
On the last day of the event, at 11:00 a.m., María del Pilar Amorocho, general manager of the corporate FSQ Group SAS, franchisor of Qbano Sandwich, will give the conference "QBANO: a delicious success story."
To close, in the afternoon, the Argentine Gastronomic Consultant, Gustavo Tomé, will perform at 2:30. p.m. the presentation of the conference "Profitability crisis in restaurants? high inflation and lack of labor? how to face it." In this session, strategies and trends will be reviewed to recover the profitability of restaurants in the face of an unfavorable global outlook.
