Juan Sebastián Echeverry

Juan Sebastián Echeverry L. was born in Pereira, is 38 years old and is a professional chef in Gastronomy, with 20 years of experience in the fast food and fast casual restaurant sector. He has travelled to the most important trade fairs worldwide and has specialised in menu development, product innovation, Foodtech, Cooktech and research in restaurant chain operations. In addition, he has launched gastropub concepts.

He currently serves as Chef Director of R&D&I for the Frisby Colombia Restaurant Chain, which has more than 280 restaurants in the country, and has been part of the brand's internationalisation programmes. He also plays a role in social gastronomy and is a volunteer in organisations such as Social Gastronomy Movement Global and Menú Solidario Colombia. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Fundación Niños Malabareando las Calles and has been part of the Kadá Social Mutual Improvement movement for 10 years. In addition, he is a volunteer and activist in the fight against hunger and child malnutrition with ABACO Banco de Alimentos Colombia.

He has had studies and training in Foodtech and operations management with EAFIT, among others. His professional career has led him to give lectures at venues such as the Singularity University Summit Colombia and forums with trade unions nationwide.
